When Event Planners Become the Party

There’s a special kind of energy when the event planners; the people who spend their lives making events unforgettable finally get to be the ones letting loose. That was the scene at Sony Hall, where PartySlate gathered the best of the event industry for a night that was anything but ordinary.

A 32-piece band tearing up the stage, a golden speakeasy tucked away in the corner, and a bathtub overflowing with champagne. No, really, it was full. The pros who usually keep the party running were out on the dance floor, raising glasses, swapping secrets, and showing everyone how it’s done.

We were there to capture it all with a fresh take on event video production. Our approach was simple, don’t just film the room, jump right into the action. From the rush of the opening set to those little moments you only catch when the crowd thinks no one’s watching.

We wanted this experiential video to feel like a VIP pass.

What made this night different was watching the event planners become the guests. Planners, designers, vendors, everyone who’s usually behind the curtain was front and center, and it was a reminder of just how creative and fun this industry really is.
