What a Brand Activation Microsite Costs, and Why the Range Is Wide

The honest answer is it depends, and anyone who gives you a flat number before asking a question is guessing. A brand activation microsite can be a one-page recap or a full build with a hero piece, a gallery, and a story. Those aren't the same job, so they aren't the same price.

Here's what moves the number, so you can price your own before anyone quotes you.

What you're really paying for

You're not paying for a page. Pages are cheap. You're paying for the decisions, the content, and the time it takes to make an activation feel online like it did in person.

Three things set the cost. How much content goes on it, how custom the build is, and whether the people making the content are also making the page. Each one moves the number, and the third is where most of the value hides. Miss it and you pay for the same page twice, once to build it and again to fix the feel.

The low end, and what it gets you

At the low end you've got a clean single page, and it starts around $2,500. A hero, a recap, a few frames, a link out. If the activation was small or the content already exists, this is quick and affordable, and for a lot of brands it's all they need.

What the low end skips is custom pace and custom design. It's a good container, not a tailored one. For a modest activation, a good container is the right spend and nothing to apologize for.

The high end, and when it's worth it

The high end is a full build. Original content made at the activation, a designed page with real pacing, a gallery, a story that carries a sponsor recap and a consumer version at once. This is for the activation that cost real money to produce and deserves to keep paying off after the tents come down.

The range is wide because activations are. A pop-up and a flagship brand experience sit in the same category and nowhere near the same budget. The number tracks the ambition, not the page count.

What moves the number, in plain terms

If you want to estimate before you call anyone, four things move it. How many pages you need. How many sections live inside them. Whether we make the content or work with what you've got. And whether we write the copy or you bring it. Stack those up and the number climbs from the $2,500 floor in a way you can see coming.

Get honest on those four and you'll land close to the real range on your own. Most of the sticker shock people feel comes from asking for the high-end version and pricing it like the low one. We stay upfront about all of it, which is part of why we put our prices on the internet.

The other cost is time

Price isn't the only number. A microsite has a window too, same as the activation. The recap that goes live three days after the event, while people are still posting about it, is worth more than the perfect one that shows up a month later. Part of what you're paying for is a team that can turn it around fast, because a great page nobody's thinking about anymore is an expensive souvenir.

Why one team lowers the real cost

Here's the part the sticker price hides. When a separate agency builds the page, someone has to be briefed on the brand, sent the footage, and corrected twice when they get the feel wrong. That back and forth is a cost, in time and in quality, even when it never shows up on an invoice.

When the team that covered the activation also builds the page, that gap disappears. You're not paying two vendors to meet in the middle. It's the quiet math behind website design for brands.

Price the moment, not the page. The page is just where the moment keeps working.
