Deliverables
Artist Film Sit-down Interview Editing Soundbites Logo Design
Cecchi's, a historic West Village restaurant, opened with three murals by the artist Jean Pierre. We produced the artist film that tells the story behind them, capturing Jean Pierre in his studio in his own words, and designed the restaurant's logo.
An artist film for Cecchi's, a historic West Village restaurant.
Challenge
Solution
Rather than narrate over the murals, we let Jean Pierre carry the film. His background, his inspirations in the Metropolitan Museum and the Frick Collection, and the thinking behind the work, filmed journalistically and cut around his strongest soundbites. Our creative lead, Hannah, designed Cecchi's logo, so the brand and the story came from the same place.
We put the artist on camera, in his own studio, in his own words.
Stats
One commission, captured once, working long after the paint dried.
The murals stay at Cecchi's. The film travels everywhere else, the restaurant's channels, the artist's portfolio, and in front of diners who understand the room before they sit in it.
Thank you.
Thanks to Jean Pierre and the team at Cecchi's for trusting us with the story behind the walls.
