02The brief

Robert Glasper was making an album about slowing down. We captured what that looked like.

Let Go is Glasper's Apple Music album, built to help listeners find their center. We were brought in to document its creation, a short interview plus behind the scenes with Glasper and his producer in a Brooklyn studio, then to cut a one-minute promo for social that matched the record's calm.

03The challenge

Capture a creative process without interrupting it.

The album's whole energy is stillness and flow, and a crew can break that fast. We needed to be in the room while Glasper and his producer built ideas without turning the session into a production. The footage also had to carry the album's mood, unhurried and warm, rather than the fast-cut energy of a typical promo.

04The solution

Stay small, stay quiet, let the music lead.

We kept a light footprint so the session stayed a session. We captured the interview and filmed the two of them creating, trading ideas, and hearing parts come together. In the edit we cut a one-minute promo that keeps the album's mood while moving at the pace social demands, calm but never slow.

The edit gave Glasper and the Let Go rollout a one-minute promo that carries the music's calm into the story of how it was made, ready to run on social. It works as an artist's-eye look at the process and as promotion that respects the work instead of talking over it.
