Full video and photo coverage of a two day social commerce summit in New York, from the welcome band and World Cup watch party through a full day of stage programming, with same day photo delivery and the complete edit turned around by Monday.

Year two, and the room got bigger.
Social commerce is moving fast enough that the people building it needed somewhere to meet. The Social Commerce Summit is Social Commerce News making that push, and this was their second one. More than 30 speakers came through Sony Hall across two days, with teams from Meta, Snap, TikTok, Amazon, Shopify, Alibaba, QVC, and SKIMS in the room. They needed the whole thing covered, and they needed content moving while the event was still happening.

Two days, two completely different rooms.
Day one was a welcome with a live band and a World Cup watch party, loose and social. Day two was a full stage program running open to close, with solo talks, interviews, and panels handing off every few minutes. Two different energies, one crew, and no second takes on either. On top of that, a second year event has to look like it's growing, so the content had to carry that.

Cover it live, deliver while it's still live.
We shot both days, video and photo together, and treated each one for what it was. The watch party and the band got a loose, candid read. The stage program got straight coverage planned against the run of show, so no speaker went missing. Photos started going out the same day so their team could post while people were still in the building. In the edit we pulled the strongest soundbites and built a two minute recap around them, with graphic overlays holding the lines that mattered. Then we cut it for where it was going, 16x9 for the site, 4x5 for LinkedIn and Instagram feeds, and 9x16 for stories and Reels.
